I was able to catch a bus that was organized by the Rockford/Rock Island/Monmouth Tea Party groups in Galesburg. This shot of the bus was taken at the rest area on Rt 74 on our way back to Galesburg.
I had a fantastic time & met a lot of great American Patriots!
On Jan12, 2011, Governor Pat Quinn and the lame duck 96th General Assembly voted to increase the state personal income tax by 67 percent and the corporate income tax by 46 percent, the fourth highest corporate income tax in the United States. We, the people of the State of Illinois, call on Governor Quinn to repeal these reckless tax increases that are destroying jobs and threatening the quality of life for Illinois families and businesses.
We call on Governor Quinn to repeal these tax increases and replace them with responsible and sound fiscal cost-cutting policies that will make Illinois competitive once again.
Without repeal of these policies, we, the registered voters of the State of Illinois, promise to circulate petitions for recall of Governor Quinn by special election as specified by the Illinois Governor Recall Amendment, in its current form or what form of it survives legal challenge.
